Kimilili Ward Daktari Brian Mwanja Trounces Six Other Opponents To Emerge Winner In An Online Survey Poll

Kimilili ward are intelligent people, they have promised to choose development over tockens and handouts, equal and fair distribution or resources over mere tockenism and skewed clanist developments.

This is what they all know will propel the ward move from the muddy decision of 2017 where it is stack at the moment over poor leadership that has hit the region with under development.

This is the vivid description of who Daktari Brian Mwanja is and why he is being ranked as the best to take over the Kimilili wead leadership in 2022.

Daktari Brian Mwanja as a doctor, is a believer of service delivery to the people, just like any other person has offered himself to the voters, urging the electorates to make a historic voting decision in 2022.

A vote that shall consider development first before anything else just like they came out in large numbers to vote on an online survey poll created 24 hours ago proving that the ward is now ripe for a better leadership.

The 2022 Kimilili ward MCA Daktari Brian Mwanja dominated on the online polls from the beginning of the voting process despite the fact that the survey was created by an opposing camp led by his main opponent.

Leaders who participated in the online polls included the incumbent MCA Hon David Barasa, Peter Roseline, Joseph Maingi (British), Felix Matimbai, Nahum Sirengo, Timothy Kwenyi among others.

Saboti People’s MP And Ford Kenya Secretary General Fires At RC Natembeya

The Ford Kenya Secretary General in Transnzoia county who also doubles up as the Saboti people’s MP has observed the recent RC George Natembeya tours in Transnzoia and issued a press rejoinder of his utterances.

“Our attention has been drawn to the desperate and careless utterances made by a seemingly angry and frustrated RC George Natembeya in reference to politicians attending funeral services, requesting for prayers and making contributions above his usual two thousand shillings.

It’s common knowledge that in any funeral service, prayers are made for the departed soul, the deceased family members and those in attendance including those who wish to give their lives to Christ.

It’s therefore naive for a man who has served in such a senior position in government to be so unreasonable as to utter such words in defense of his lack of capacity to deal with the political heat.

We advise RC George Natembeya that politics is different from harassing and giving orders to chiefs and sub chiefs or the use of police in Mau, Kapedo and overseeing demolitions of properties and businesses of hard working Kenyans especially the good people of Transnzoia.

We urge our political class to remain prayerful and seek the power of prayers since we don’t have the power of the gun and the police as we anxiously wait for the policeman to remove his uniform and join our field of operation as well as give generously beyond two thousand shillings that seems painful to the already complaining regional commissioner.” Noted Hon Joseph Pepela.

The Rise And Fall Of Former UNACTAD Boss Mukhisa Kituyi

Pictures and videos of the former UNACTAD boss Dr Mukhisa Kituyi has excited neticizens after Mukhisa was pictured and filmed on bed with a university lady in Mombasa.

News of assault rocked the internet earlier this week with the lady reporting the matter to Mombasa police station against the former UNACTAD boss over physical assault in a lodging.

Dr Mukhisa Kituyi who also served as the larger Kimilili constitutiency MP was assigned to represent Kenya on it’s international economic affairs by the then President H.E Mwai Kibaka.

Dr Mukhisa Kituyi resigned recently from his position as the UNACTAD chief to run for Kenya’s presidency in 2022 in a move that made him come up with a political party to propel his agendas.

Political pundits have noted that Dr Mukhisa Kituyi who has built his career and image for many years have been brought down by the Mombasa incident where he assaulted the lady who is also rumoured to be his cousin.

STATEMENT BY ANC PARTY LEADER, Hon Musalia W Mudavadi ON THE RECENT INCREASE OF PETROLEUM PRICES IN KENYA ON 15TH MARCH, 2021

  1. INTRODUCTION

ANC Party is outraged by the recent announcement by the Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority increasing the maximum wholesale and retail petroleum prices in Kenya for the period 15th March – 14th April by nearly 15 per cent. The increases in the fuel pump prices will ultimately lead to an increase in the cost of production and transportation for ordinary Kenyans and businesses.
Kenyans in our villages and towns are in great distress. Many families do not know where the next meal will come from and even when they get a meal, it is not enough to satisfy the household needs. Clearly with increased prices of paraffin and fuel, the situation is likely to get worse as prices of food soar.
What the Ministry of Energy has always done is to pass the increased costs to the mwananchi and business community, to their detriment, while guaranteeing higher profit margins for oil marketers. Changes in the computation of the applicable taxation regime have resulted in higher pump prices. In fact, taxes now comprise roughly 60% of the pump price for petrol, diesel and kerosene. It is totally, unacceptable for petrol to retail at 122.81 in Nairobi when the landing cost is 49.84!

  1. OUR PROPOSAL

The Ministry of Energy has failed Kenyans and must take responsibility for this unpleasant situation. They should take cognizance of the fact that it is the ordinary citizen who bears the brunt of the high petroleum prices. It is painful to imagine the plight of the widowed mother in Kibra, Kamkunji or Mathare, who currently earns less than 200 shillings from washing clothes. How is she expected to fork-out Ksh. 94 on a litre of kerosene daily? Or the small businessman in Changamwe, Nyeri or Kisumu whose soap-making business is being strangled because of the high electricity costs?
The Ministry, as a matter of urgency, must do the following:

  1. Revise the formula used in pricing fuel.
  2. Review the tax regime on fuel products. A tax equivalent to 100% of pump price is unsustainable, punitive and inflationary to the people of Kenya! The tax regime should also provide incentives for clean and renewable energy.
  3. Reform the electricity cost structure to include more transparency in the determination of costs/pricing and improve overall efficiency. On an encouraging note, the government should accelerate the review of the Power Purchase Agreements that have been heavily schewed against Kenyans.
  4. Review and reform our energy policy, creating a plan anchored on the resources available to the government and leveraging on the creativity and innovation that is abundant within the energy sector.

In conclusion, the above recommendations would enable our country to remove price distortions in the economy, enhance our competitiveness and foster an increase in investments in the energy sector and the economy as a whole. Let the Ministry treat this matter with the urgency it deserves. -----Ends----

WHY THE HUSTLER NARRATIVE WON’T SELL IN MT KENYA AND WESTERN REGION

There have been a lot of talk as to why Deputy President William Ruto is popular in the Mt Kenya region, something that ideally should be a misnomer owing to the nature of our politics.

This is even more intriguing since Ruto isn’t from the region and it is the first time since the advent of multi-party politics that this region is solidly behind a candidature of someone other than their own. In fact, a stereotype has been perpetuated that its very hard to get three things from a person from that region — money, land and a vote.

However, things seem to be different this time round and judging by recent events, the DP seems to enjoy near fanatical following across the 10 counties of Kiambu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nakuru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Meru.

#AsThingStands

His rallies and roadside meetings are usually well attended, more than any other presidential candidate. Further, most MPs are aligned to him as the the Jubilee deputy party leader. The masses have become radicalised, with some going as far as printing T-shirts and posters way ahead of the 2022 presidential campaigns.

How did this happen? How can a region whose voting pattern and allegiance has been fairly predictable take a different turn altogether to the chagrin of pundits, analysts and power brokers?

To begin with, the people of the mountain feel indebted to Ruto in the manner in which he stood with them during the  International Criminal Court cases. Having been accused together with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ruto attended many prayer meetings across the region.

Further, a lot of reconciliation meetings between the Kikuyu and the Kalenjin were held, culminating into the election of Uhuru and Ruto (UhuRuto) as President and Deputy President in 2013.

The masses feel that since coming to power, Ruto has been closer to them and  stood with his boss in the first term, always visiting to launch projects across the region. He thus made crucial contacts with many opinion leaders, especially through the church administration.

In addition, Uhuru promised at Afraha Stadium when they joined hands that ‘Ni yangu kumi na ya Ruto kumi’. Voters, especially women, feel obligated to keep the promise, lest the region is accused of dishonesty. This is after other leaders who have supported the region in the past such as Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga failed to secure such currency in their subsequent bids to succeed President Mwai Kibaki in 2013.

It is also true that Raila has been demonised for more than 25 years in the region, owing to the rivalry that emanated from the political competition between his father, Jaramogi Odinga, and Founding President Jomo Kenyatta.

In fact, many voters turn out to vote against Raila rather than the presidential candidate at hand, leading to a supremacy contest between the Luos and the Kikuyus. Ruto, therefore, provides a plausible alternative to him since he stood with them again in 2017, and even further after the nullification of the presidential election when Raila petitioned the Supreme Court.

While the ‘handshake’ was initially appreciated by many from the region as a means of calming the turmoil that led to the post-election violence in 2017, it was later perceived to have a political motive to sideline Ruto, in favour of Raila, while Uhuru comes back as prime minister.

This thinking was fomented by Raila allies such as Cotu boss Francis Atwoli, who questioned the logic of Uhuru retiring while he was still “young”. It is instructive to note that Uhuru will be nearly 62 years by the time he finishes his second and final term.

Ruto has visited Central Kenya countless times and is the one in touch with the elected leaders. He is accessible and has also demonstrated acumen in giving detailed account of government projects specific to the needs of the particular area he visits.

He has also created a ‘hustler nation’ narrative that resonates with the masses due to his poor background — starting as ‘chicken seller’. The region feels let down by the Jubilee administration under President Kenyatta since residents had very high hopes when they elected him. A poorly performing economy owing to fiscal mismanagement, coupled with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic hasn’t helped the situation either.

Unlike other regions, Mt Kenya decides and choses its leader independently, and moves onto another without coercion. This is what happened after 1992 when support shifted from Kenneth Matiba to Mwai Kibaki in 1997, then to Uhuru in 2013.

Ruto’s credentials of not having lost an election, his association with younger leaders who reflect and therefore resonate with the demographics of the region make the people of the mountain bank their future with him.

The jury is still at large but as things stand, Ruto is way ahead of his competitors.

Ford Kenya Party held a Series of Church Events in Kabuchai Led By MP Dr Chris Wamalwa, CBS

Hon Dr Chris Wamalwa CBS , Chair of Catholic Parliamentary Caucus joined the faithfuls of St Bonface Chebukaka Parish Mukuyuni Ward Kabuchai to drum up support for Hon Majimbo Kalasinga ahead of By-election scheduled on 4th March ,2021

Dr Chris Wamalwa, CBS

He noted that the late Hon Mukwe left a void that shall only be filled by Majimbo Kalasinga due to his experience, integrity and political stability.

He told them that a vote for Majimbo is a vote for luhya unity ,development and Change
However,he warned them against external forces that are out to cause confusion and division in Mulembe Nation.

He also reminded not to shortchange Wetangula as it might take us close to 20 years to nurture a person of his Calibre .
He wondered with some leaders from our region because while other communities are positioning themselves ahead of 2022 they are busy spreading politics of hate and division.

WANGAMATI Government is Sponsoring Funeral Violence in Bungoma County Says Nyoti

BUMULA Youth leader Eric Nyoti has sharply condemned Bungoma County leadership for using youth in causing mayhem in funerals across the county.

Speaking today to Press, Nyoti criticized high profile politicians in Wangamati Government for sponsoring chaos in funerals that left scores injured over the weekend.

“We will not sit down and watch as politicians use youth to show their might in funerals by heckling leaders. We are going to act.”

“Bungoma County should employ these well known hecklers not misusing them by giving them 200 bob to heckle.”

“We are witnessing stagnant development in Bungoma County, no wonder the number of jobless youths is on increase.”

LET TANGATANGA BE MADE AWARE THAT THE SPIRIT OF TOKENISM AND HANDOUTS IS FADING AWAY IN WESTERN KENYA

The kind of mentality that has been common in Luhya land where leaders and the electorate have to line up to get tokens in Sugoi, Karen, capital hill or in Bondo is dying.

Except for a few like Bonny Khalwale, Edwin Sifuna or Titimus barasa our people and especially leaders are discovering that handouts only enslave us further.

Handouts is the reason why our community has remained cheap for hire for decades. It is a demon that we must fight. The demon of poverty, where a leader like DP RUTO can colonise our minds and ties us to him.

Kabuchai in Bung

A good example is the Luhya elder Musikari Kombo who is now on record saying that no leader shall be allowed to just walk straight to the Mulembe people without going through the Luhya Kingpin, Hon. Musalia. Let us not go to sell our nakedness to foreigners in Sugoi or Bondo.

Remember, our problem has all along been the Bukusus and Maragolis not accepting to work together as one based on the fact that they are the majority but things have drastically changed since l as a Bukusus leader started talking to every Bukusu leader.

The message was not clear to both Raila and Ruto that’s why they want to dare the Mulembe nation by fielding candidates in both Matungu and Kabuchai. We are going to confirm to the two Luhya enemies that we have been foolish and used for too long BUT now we have moved on.

As Wetang’ula once was quoted saying a real man cannot allow another man to touch the BREASTS of his wife WHILE he is around

We used to assume that every community has a right to demand for jobs and money from the MPs and ministers from their community until late when we realised that these positions can’t empower our leaders enough to even provide jobs to more than 10 people.

This is the major reason why we must ensure that our own son Hon. Musalia Mudavadi becomes the next president because we believe in him as the safe pair of hands not only to the Mulembe people but to the entire nation. We are tired of just sitting on the fence only to wait to be invited on the table by the corrupt who hide the best meals under the table before we are invited. It’s time now for the Mulembe people to also invite other communities on the high table.

We have come to realise that even the president doesn’t have what it takes to feed his community. The president can only empower his community by giving investors opportunities to invest in his region for the community to access employment. Moreover, the president is also in a position to create job opportunities for a few of his people in very influential positions in the government as CEOs and parastal heads for them to employ more of their community members.

The Luhya Community has actually styled up and now refused to accept to be used cheaply as always by leaders from other communities in bringing down our own Leaders. We have come to understand the fact that the likes of Kibaki, Uhuru, Ruto and Raila are who they are because of the overwhelming community support but not because they provided their people with jobs or handouts. Raila Odinga is the most mean person on earth. He give no token to Luos, but they support him like crazy. Even Ruto never gives money to his community. Rarely do you see Ruto telling Kalenjins to line up for WHEELBARROWS. He only spends on buying a few cheap Luhya, Kikuyu and luo leaders to confuse their communities in believing in his narratives of constructing 7 stadiums, 6.5 million jobs and such like.

We have come to learn that their communities never demand for a penny to make them who they are now. That their communities understand the fact that they cannot eat a Mango fruit before planting a Mango tree.

Most of us Luhyas were used to demanding for a Mango fruit before planting the Mango tree. We even used to cut the Mango tree when at its flowering stage claiming that it has taken too long without giving us fruits. We then go begging for Mangoes from other communities.

Failure to support Hon. Musalia Mudavadi now and fall for Ruto or Raila is like cutting a Mango tree at its flowering stage, only to plant a seedling in Bondo or Sugoi.

CONCLUSION

LET Ruto, Raila and other scarvangers who like scavanging in western rest assured that this is not going to happen again. We are actually well informed.

The Luhya Community is going to pass a strong message during the coming by-elections in Matungu and Kabuchayi that foreigners are no longer wanted in our land. We have borrowed a very big leaf from the likes of the Luo community who have supported Raila for more than 25 years yet he has never even given a penny to any of his supporters neither shown a sign of yielding fruits in the near future.

The message from Luhya land is going to be announced with a loud bang after the two by-elections. No leader shall be entertained in Western without the blessings of Hon. Musalia Mudavadi and Wetangula.

SHAME TO WAMUNYINYI AND ESELI SIMIYU AS IEBC REJECT ABEL MUTIMBA AS FORD KENYA CANDIDATE FOR MATUNGU BY-ELECTION.

Ford Kenya has been under attack from criminals and cabals who thought they would emerge and take up the party.  Their botched scheme  to field Abel Mutimba in Matungu through the backdoor has received the biggest blow.

The action by IEBC to rejection the nomination of Mutimba is not only a fraudulent act of crime but a matter that calls for serious prosecution and legal attention.

The IEBC noted that the High Court had barred the duo from transacting party business and their action was only but infringing the law.

The electoral body further noted  that only  Sen Moses Wetangula, Ford Kenya party leader and Mrs Abudho , Deputy secretary general were allowed to give consent on the subject.

The coup plotters were out to frustrate the unity between ANC and Ford Kenya, but their misfits came out bare.

Ford Kenya party has issued a statement that they will not field a candidate in Matungu in favour of ANC’s candidate Peter Oscar Nabulindo.
